Dinner Invitation
Tonight's Guest List:
1) Sister Helen Prejean: Being that Helen is responsible for what we are celebrating tonight, which is Patrick's redemption, she clearly had to be the first on the guest list! Sister Helen will be able to entertain our dinner party with lovely stories of Patrick's journey along with her personal experiences with his trial.
2)Michael David Edmonson: We would love for Michael to attend our dinner for he is the Louisiana State police sheriff. Being that he is such an active member of Louisiana's police force, along with Patrick being arrested in the same building he works in, it would be very interesting for him to be able to share his opinions on the death penalty during our dinner party.
3) Tim Robbins: Tim Robbins would also be a great addition to our dinner because he is the director of the movie, Dead Man Walking, which was based on Patrick's crime. I think it would be very interesting for all of our dinner guests to learn about what it was like to create the film along with the careful research they had to make due to the movie being so accurate to the crime itself.
4) Sean Penn: The next guest on our list is Sean Penn, who plays Patrick's character in the movie Dead Man Walking. I think it would greatly benefit the party if Sean could share his experiences of what it was like to play this role. I think all of our guests would find it very interesting to be told what it was like to play such a chilling character.
5) Susan Sarandon: Susan Sarandon plays the role of Sister Helen in the move Dead Man Walking. Similar to why Sean Penn would be an interesting guest to have at our party, I think our guests would also like to know what it was like to play the role of Helen in the movie. I think it would be particularly interesting if we were to find out the emotional hardships it took to play such characters. Was it hard to recreate such a dark, true story?
6) Bishop Stanley Ott: Bishop Stanly Ott was the bishop that lead Patrick Sonnier's funeral and I would love to have him as my 6th dinner party guest. I would love for him to be able to share the atmosphere of the funeral allowing our guests to be able to imagine and remember what his funeral was like. I think this would be a wonderful way to honor Patrick's name.
7) Lisa Zeno Churgin: The 7th dinner party guest is Lisa Zeno Churgin. She was one of the two editors of the movie, Dead Man Walking, and I would love for her to be able to share her experiences with how they made the movie to be so realistic. I would particularly like to uncover the difficulty of recreating such a horrifying story.
8) Ray Hubley: Our last guest invited to our dinner party will be Ray Hubley. Ray was the second of the two editors of the movie Dead Man Walking. Similar to Lisa, I would love for him to elaborate on her thoughts and ideas about what it was like to recreate the horrific story.
